Frequently Asked Questions
If you have questions about the revision courses which aren’t answered
here, why not get in touch?
What are the Elite IB Revision Courses?
Elite IB Revision Courses offer an intensive, exam-focused
revision programme at key points during the academic year, aimed at students preparing to
take their exams, whether internal or external, and/or students who wish to boost confidence
and knowledge prior to the start of the new academic year. Students will consolidate their
knowledge of the course, practice exam techniques, and gain confidence ahead of their exams
or new school year. The course leaders are Elite IB tutors who have received the best
feedback over the past year - they are engaging and fun, and are all IB graduates
themselves! Classes are limited to a maximum of 6 attendees to ensure each student gains the
benefits of both private tuition and small group-based learning.
What is the difference between private tuition and
Revision Courses?
Whilst private tuition is an excellent way of securing a
student's individual knowledge with a tutor over a long period, Revision Courses offer
the chance for students to study in small groups where the dynamic allows for interaction,
discussion, and learning from one another at key points during the academic year.
Who can benefit from the Easter Revision Course?
There are separate courses for 1st and 2nd year IBDP
students, leading up to mocks and finals respectively. We also lead workshops for Pre-IB
students who are currently in the MYP or completing their IGCSEs. Attendees are supported in
groups of up to six students to ensure highly personalised, level-specific support. Course
leaders are selected from Elite IB's best tutors, all of whom are IB graduates or
teachers, and over the period of the Course will provide intensive syllabus revision, exam
technique, and past paper practice.
Can I attend the same subject for 2 blocks?
Yes! We are running subject workshops multiple times across
the course so that students in all locations and time zones can attend, but this also means
students who want to double up their revision time can join the same subject twice. The two
workshops could be run by different tutors, but will cover the same subject content.
Will you also be hosting in-person workshops?
At the moment we are not planning on running our course
in-person, but are monitoring government guidance regularly. If an in-person course becomes
possible we may run workshops in a few cities, and will let you easily transfer your online
booking if you would like to attend.
Will I be able to tell my tutor what I want to work
on?
Of course! As much as possible we want our courses to focus
on exactly the content you want to cover, and will be asking all of our attending students
for this information ahead of the course.
How many students attend each workshop?
The size of each group at the Easter Revision Courses is
capped at 7 students, to ensure each student can benefit from individualised support.
Will there be breaks?
Breaks in revision are important, particularly when learning
online, so our workshops are scheduled with a two hour gap between them to make sure you get
time to recharge between sessions. Our tutors will also allow for regular short breaks
during the session, to help you stay focused and alert.
Will I be able to rewatch recordings of the
workshops?
Yes! All of our workshops will be recorded and uploaded to
our online learning platform NEO. You will receive your own login for this platform,
allowing you to revisit key problems and explanations whenever you want.
Where can I find more information?
Further information can be found in our Easter Brochure or
please do get in touch at [email protected] or at +44 (0)2033023868. We welcome any
question, large or small.
My tutor was able to give us very valuable tips to focus on. He had a really good teaching
style, making us do exercises after teaching so we were really able to understand and keep the
information not just hear it
