Tim Hoffmann

Director & Founder

Tim is the Founder and Director of Elite IB Tutors, and firmly of the belief that the International Baccalaureate’s educational ethos and structure makes it the foremost school-leaving qualification worldwide. Tim completed the IB at Antwerp International School in 2005 obtaining 44 points and went on to obtain an MEng from St Edmund Hall, Oxford University in 2009. He has been tutoring IBDP & MYP candidates since 2006, and started Elite IB in 2010.

In his role as director of Elite IB Tutors, Tim assists students, schools, tutors and other educational organisations in both growing and understanding the best method of teaching and implementing the IB - both in the UK and abroad.

Alongside his IB-focused work, Tim works hard to broaden the understanding of the IB in relation to university admissions, particularly UCAS. He regularly guides students, families and indeed schools in demystifying the process and supporting them every step of the way. It is Tim’s mission to make Elite IB a global reference point for IB educators across the globe.

Sam Romeo

Head of Tuition

As Head of Tuition, Sam is responsible for directing our Tuition Management teams internationally, overseeing the support we offer the IB students, families, and schools, and helping maintain our position as the foremost team of IB educators internationally. A long-standing member of the EIB team, he is an authoritative and reliable source on the IB for families and professionals alike, and as well as on applications to UK universities.

Sam read History at King’s College London, where he was the co-chair of the History Society, before being awarded the Worshipful Company of Bowers Scholarship for Post-Graduate Study. He then achieved his MA Medieval and Renaissance History from University College London (UCL).

Lawrence Lilley

Tuition Manager

Lawrence completed his IBDP at Bali International School in Indonesia, where he studied Higher Level History, English Literature and Biology, alongside Standard Level Economics, Maths and French. He wrote his Extended Essay in Environmental Systems and Societies about Indonesian deforestation, and graduated with a BSc International Development and the Environment from the University of East Anglia (UEA). With his keen interest in global issues and education, he joined Elite IB Tutors in 2018 to help students in the UK and abroad achieve their full potential via bespoke support.

Isabelle-Maria Arusilor

French Speaking Tuition Manager

Isabelle joins us as our French Speaking Tuition Manager and is responsible for administering end-to-end client requests from our UK, Swiss and Global clients. Isabelle completed her IBDP at the International School of Nice in France where she studied Higher Level French Language and Literature, English B, Visual Arts as well as Standard Level Mathematics,Biology and Psychology. After completing the IB,Isabelle studied at University College London achieving a first class Bachelor of Science in Architectural & Interdisciplinary Studies. As someone with a wide array of interests, she wrote three dissertations, focusing on themes such as the interaction between health policies, gender and the built environment in the use and accessibility of physical spaces.

Frances Barry

Head of Courses and Events

Frances completed the IB in 2012, scoring 41 points, as part of the first cohort of female students to attend King’s College School Wimbledon. Her choice of higher level subjects reflect her diverse interests and skills: having taken HL English Literature, Chemistry, and Fine Art. Through the IB Frances discovered her passion for History of Art, which she went on to read at St Peter’s College Oxford. In her dissertation, Frances looked at contemporary Western tattooing practices through an art historical lens - exploring the tension between subject and object, and questioning the status of ‘artworks’ that exist on living bodies.

After graduating, Frances completed her PGCert in primary education while working full-time as a busy Year 2 teacher through Teach First, and was awarded Qualified Teacher Status in 2018. Frances brings her experience as an IB student and her knowledge of the education system from a teacher’s perspective to her role as courses and events manager, keen to tailor our courses to meet the needs of students and in response to the changing demands of the IB curriculum.

Hannah Lockett

Operations intern

Hannah joins us as our Operations intern. She joined EIB after graduatingwith a first-class MA (Hons) Spanish and Business degree from theUniversity of Edinburgh. During her third year, she gained valuableexperience working in Argentina as a Marketing and Operations intern at aninternational publishing company. At EIB, she will now be working in asupporting role for events and courses.

Uros Protic

Online Marketing

With 8 years of experience in online marketing, PPC in particular, Uros positioned himself as an expert in the field. Having worked as an online marketer in several different industries gave Uros a broader context of digital marketing and insights into different industry's specifics. As PPC marketer Uros is responsible for creating and managing online campaigns and establishing the online presence of Elite IB.

Regina Arnold

Head of People

As our Head of People, Regina is responsible for the employee life-cycle and people development at Elite IB. Regina is here to support the international team and ensure their employee experience is a positive one.

Regina has a BA(Hons) degree in European Studies and Languages (Spanish andItalian) from the University of Bath and an MA with Merit in HumanResources from the University of Greenwich. Regina's master's dissertation focused on gender disparities within flexible working. After 7 years working in HR with companies like Bloomberg and Amazon, Regina brings with them a host of experiences ranging from employee well-being to HR operations.

Nora Fehlmann

Marketing and Insights Intern

Nora joins us as our Marketing and Insights Intern. Nora comes to EIBfollowing receipt of her Specialized Maturity Certificate in Social Work ata Swiss secondary school. After this point, Nora gained invaluableexperience working as an intern in different organisations. Earlier in2020, Nora completed her training as an Office Management Assistant whileworking at a solicitor’s office.
Nora will be supporting the team with client management and ensuringstudents and their families receive the best support available.

Netherlands Team

Aaron Boles

Education Manager Netherlands

As Education Manager in the Netherlands, Aaron works to meet all client and tutor needs in the country. Initially working with Elite IB as a tutor, Aaron spent over two years helping students through chemistry modules in the IB and developed a deep love of teaching in the process. He continues to tutor chemistry in the Netherlands.

After completing the IB in The Hague, he moved to attend the University of Edinburgh, ultimately achieving a first-class masters in medicinal chemistry. Returning to the Netherlands with EIB allows Aaron to utilise both his lived experience in Holland and the UK, and his deep knowledge of the IB and UCAS.

Singapore Team

Dr Yuen Wei Hao

Director of Studies,

Dr Yuen Wei Hao (MChem., DPhil., Oxon) is the Director of Elite IB in Singapore. Following his completion of his GCSEs in the British School in the Netherlands, and his IBs in UWC S.E. Asia, he went on to attain a First Class honours in his MChem Chemistry in the University of Oxford. Wei Hao then completed his DPhil in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, also at Oxford.

With more than 7 years of tutoring experience in the IB, Dr Yuen has supported numerous students in the IB as well as in their applications to Oxford and Cambridge. Having gone through the entire process from the GCSEs to PhD, Dr Yuen can provide support and guidance at every point of the process, from subject selection, through study support, to university applications
