Core IB Workshops
The Core IB Workshop is the perfect opportunity for you to develop the
essential academic skills needed to balance your workload, and understand the IB in detail before
your first day.
Tutors will cover how to implement good study habits, academic writing and
referencing, and the all important IB skill: time management. Theory of Knowledge, the Extended
Essay, and CAS will also be discussed in detail, putting you on the early track to securing these
often overlooked 3 core points in your final grades.
Individual workshops are offered in a number of IB subjects on the Pre-IB Revision Course:
Maths: Analysis & Approaches
Maths: Applications & Interpretation
The IB syllabi outline the ‘presumed knowledge’ that students are expected to
have, regardless of their previous curriculum, so tutors will make sure this is covered in detail
before introducing you to the first IB topics. Maths will be split into AA and AI, so if you are not
yet sure which one you want to pursue, this is the perfect opportunity to explore the two
Our tutors are all top-scoring IB graduates, teachers, or examiners, meaning
they know the syllabus, and the realities of studying the IB programme, inside out. EIB specialise
in the IB and our core team is made up of IB graduates, so we can advise on everything from choosing
subjects with a view to specific uni courses, balancing your time between things like your visual
arts coursework and your chemistry IA, and how to handle the pressures and stress of the IB.
94% of our 2020 course attendees said they felt more confident in their subject
after completing a workshop, and 92% would recommend EIB courses to a friend!
