BMAT vs UCAT University requirements

Choosing the right subjects can set up a student for life. Make sure your child starts the IB on the right foot by speaking with an EIB Consultant to pick the perfect subjects.

Anyone wishing to study Medicine related courses will need to take an entrance exam, with the 2 most popular being the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) and University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT, formerly UKCAT). However, often it is hard to compare which entrance exam the universities that you are applying to need. So, to help you, we have compiled a list of universities and whether they require UCAT or BMAT. We hope this helps you in your application and wish you the best of luck!

If you would like support preparing for the UCAT and BMAT exams, or support in your IB subjects more generally, please take a look at our tutoring and courses pages.
