The American International School of Rotterdam was established in 1959 to provide a school for American military and business families after the Second World War. The school currently hosts over thirty nationalities, with 60% of the student body being made up by Dutch, American, Japanese, British and South Korean students. The school is non-selective and offers the IB Diploma Programme.
