Programme Schedule

Each workshop runs from 9:00 - 16:00 GMT with an hour break for lunch and additional breaks as you need. Your days will be structured around revision of the trickiest syllabus points, and lots of past paper questions and practice. Tutors will work on essential exam skills as we recognise the importance of January mock exams for any predicted scores that may be needed this May.

Each class is available at HL or SL, and we cap our classes to just 7 students with an average class size of 4 - 5. Small classes ensure bespoke support for each student, whilst providing the benefits of group discussion and collaboration.

Worried about the time-zone? The course finish time means you can join from anywhere in the UK, Europe, the UAE and parts of Asia and still finish your course by 9PM!

Biology - Units & Options

Standard & Higher Level

Register for HL or SL in any subject, and cover any relevant material for each leve. You can read more about the differences between the class content in each subject on the 'Subjects & Units' page.

0. Overview

Our biology workshops will be split between SL and HL students, and will focus on the core syllabus content. HL students will then have to opportunity to work on related HL modules in each workshop. Tutors will use a combination of diagrams, examples, case studies, drawn graphs and representations to explain each biological concept or system in detail, and also to explore the links between different topics. By studying biology in a modular fashion, you will be able to reinforce your knowledge where you are less sure, or deepen your understanding of more complex topics.

Higher Level vs Standard Level Unit Content
In the majority of instances, HL and SL students will be taught separately. Where we have very small groups of 3 total students or fewer, common content and/or skills will be taught to both levels together, and then tutors will be able to use breakout rooms and different resources when tackling HL only options or considerations.

Maths revision support for May 2021 candidates

May 21 exam takers are the first students to sit assessments in the new IB maths syllabus. Our maths tutors have been specially trained on the syllabus by an IB examiner, and will use their experience to supplement the 2021 specimen exam papers with relevant past paper questions from previous years.
